Blue cheese focaccia.

Blue cheese focaccia.

Italy is under the coldest weather, ” Burian” it’s called, and it’s here and it’s so cold this morning the car refused to turn on ( first time ever in twelve years, luckly it moved after a while but it was quite scarying.

Yesterday we had to subscribe the notary deed to buy our dream house, not an appointment you can delay or miss and we had: big snow, school closed, ice on every road.

We reached the notary’s studio and we did it so now I can tell you I own a home!!

I’ll need few months before entering the house but it’s ok, time to think about forniture and arguing with hubby about ceiling lamps. 🙂

Tomorrow schools will be close, at the moment I’m not sure I can reach school to bring son back home. :O

Look at hubby right after the deed and our garden today:

Do you know Paul Hollywood’s tv serie ” City bakes“?

I didn’t until the last flu of my son; he was sick and he wanted to see tv with me in bed.

We were watching Food Network and Paul appeared, walking around a beautiful city, entering bakeries and tasting bread, sweets and pastries.

I love Paul Holliwood a lot, I did some of his recipes like the Guinness cupcakes and this walnut cake from one of his books, even the soda bread, one of the first posts on this blog, comes from him: everything I did turned out so amazing, recipes from books are perfect ( it should be granted when when we speak of cooking book but I can assure you it’s not, mistakes and typo that change the sense of the recipe are so common even if I have to say UK books are usually pretty accurate, expecially compared to Italian ones).

Back to the usual routine after Christmas: no, no, no.

I don’t want to come back to work, do you?

I don’t want to start dieting again, I don’t want to start biking again, I want to keep on waking up at 10 a.m., having fun at restaurants, receiving nice things for the new home. 😛

How did you spend your holidays?

Did you make and receive nice gift?

I mainly received beer, wine and linen for the new home plus lot of joy for being with all my beloved ones.

Tuna and potado patties.

Tuna and potado patties.

I posted a patties recipe just a week ago but I’m here again with another kind because…

Because I love patties, meatballs and similar preparations: they are easy, you can feed a crowd with them, you can often prepare them in advance.

I made these tuna and potado patties for a nice collaboration with a big brand of supermarket called ” La grande I”, this is the supermarket I attend when I’m in Rimini, the one my parents in law always attend for the big grocery shopping.

After a quite long iatus I’m back.

I almost forgot this month’s date for Bloggalline’s recipe exchange, I’m really late this time but I have pretty good excuses…

Yes, excuses, I mean more than one: hubby cut himself on the hand, in the same point he cut himself only four months ago.

It means I have to work for both, I did it for the past three weeks and I’m pretty tired.

He cannot use his right hand so I have to help him washing, cutting food, writing…
