Marsala and olive oil cookies.

Marsalini, biscotti al marsala.

Hello my dear readers and welcome to my crazy project: a cookie recipes Advent Calendar!

Why is this so crazy?

Because I had to make 25 different kind of cookies, take 25 different pictures, write 25 Italian posts and 25 English posts.

It’s a lot of work, trust me!

I’ve started early and today I can show you the first recipe of the calendar: Marsala and olive oil cookies.

They are so easy, quick but with an unique flavour!

Try them!

I run to the recipe as I have to write a lot more in these days! 🙂

Marsala and olive oil cookies.

Servings: 20

Ingredients

  • 250 g all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 espresso cup sugar
  • 1 espresso cup olive oil
  • 1 espresso cup Marsala wine
  • almonds to decorate

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients except almonds into a bowl until you have a smooth ball of dough.
You may need a little more flour or a little more marsala to balance the dough and have the perfect consistency.
  • Take small parts of dough and roll them in your hands until you have a rope of dough, close each rope into a 8 shaped cookies and put 2 almonds in each hole of the 8.
  • Bake at 340°F for 10-15 minutes.
