Ossa di meringa/ Meringue bones.

SCROLL DOWN FOR ENGLISH VERSION.

Ingredients
  1. 90 gr albumi
  2. 180 gr zucchero a velo
  3. 1 pizzico sale
Instructions

This October is filled with challenges and news both in life and blogging.

I’m experiencing a great growth of my Instagram followers and I’m very pleased about it, I try to post often on my socials too but I have to say: if you do it the right way you have to take it as a full time work!

Last week end I went with my sister and my best friend to Munich, we had three days of shopping, German food and a lot of beer (of course).

Coming back we stopped by Maso franch, one of the most famous restaurants in Trentino Alto Adige, to end our small holiday in the best way possible; as soon as possible I’ll write you about it.

I have to write about this restaurants, what to eat and where to shop in Munich, post a couple of German recipes I loved so much I’m going to have them with me forever (on my hips).

I have, as you can see, a lot of nice blog material but now it’s not the right time, now it’s Halloween time again and I have to give you this recipe (and another one to follow) I can’t post later than 31 October.

Meringue is surely a well known thing, this is far more a party idea than a proper recipe.

Ingredients
  1. 3 oz egg whites
  2. 6 oz icing sugar
  3. 1 pinch salt
Instructions
  1. Beat all the ingredients with whisk untill you have a white, soft cream that forms peaks.
  2. You'll need about 10-15 minutes to reach the right texture.
  3. Put meringue in a sac a poche, cut a small hole in it.
  4. Form bones with meringue on waxed paper.
  5. Put in a oven at 180°F and let bake for at least 2 hours.
  6. In 2 hours meringues will be hard enough to be touched but not dry inside, to dry them completely keep them in the oven for few more hours on in a dry and aired place for a couple of days (cover them with wax paper to avoid dust).
Notes
  1. If you think you can't draw freehand your bones use a pencil and a printable to copy your design on waxed paper then spread meringue on the paper side you didn't write on.
  2. You can do the same thing with ghosts or skulls, you can use chocolate drops for eyes and mouths.

Grazie!
