Tonight and tomorrow night, along the 170 km of the Adriatic Riviera will take place ” la Notte Rosa” or The Pink Night in English.

It’s also called ” The Summer New Year’s Eve” because it’s the bigger feast of summer and it summons so many tourists from the whole country and abroad.

As every year we avoid to take part to this event because we have to go to Rimini almost weekly and we try to avoid dates in which highways and roads are packed and you need hours to get there but I love to remember this feast because on a Pink Night eight years ago (the very first if I remember well) I got married and I remember, coming back from the wedding reception, all the people in pink cheering and celebrating with us.

I love historical places in pink, the pink food served everywhere and, most of all, the fireworks: around here we have very skilled pyrotechnic artist.

While I wait to discover where my hubby will bring me for dinner on our anniversary I indulge a bit in memories: how far you can go in eight years!

( The photos in this post, except the wedding one, are from the web: sooner or later I’ll be brave enough to go to Rimini for the Pink Night and I’ll take my own pictures!)
